My, but it's been a while. Still, feels good sometimes to return to your roots.

Sketch done today to stave off boredom. A bit crude, yes, but it was more for fun than anything.

Drawn from photohraph on Wildlife Explorer Card, Group 1, card # 192. No photographer cited.

RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME!!! I'm always amazed at your shading, especially knowing that it was done with a lead pencil and it is on medium sized paper.... +_+

Aw, shoot, I knew I forgot something.... I didn't put the pencils or paper I used on there. Damnet, must go edit soon :P

I do it cuz until about a year ago, animals in pencil was all I ever drew. Thanks so much for the wunnerful comment, Jane!

Hmm, there's really not that much I can say about realistic animal pencil drawings, but here goes:
Fur rendering is great. I'll admit, I'm absolutely terrible at it, so I've got no idea how you've done it, but whatever it was, it really does look excellent.
Anatomy appears to be spot on, as usual.
The only possible negative thing I can think of to say is that a background would be really suitable here, and that's not so much of an active critism as a suggestion of "wouldn't it be cool if..."
As usual, great job.
