|Like my comics you see here on devart? HEYGUESSWHAT they're all archived and orderly on my website, Flowerlark Studios! So check it out! ORELSE.|
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Wh-?? Holy shit, has it been that long???
What does your username mean? It's the name of my squirrel character from one of my stories called Children of Shadow. *SHAMELESS PLUG* *cough* moving on...
Describe yourself in three words.
Angsty tortured pessimist.
Are you left or right handed?
Ambidextrous. No, I'm not kidding. But I tend to favour my right hand because why not.
What was your first deviation?
Oh my... embarassment time!!
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Comics. Though I love illustration as well. Oh, and I like to write! And sculpt... gah! I can't really pick just one.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Hmmmmm, honestly? None. What makes art so rewarding is the long, hard struggle to master the craft. I wouldn't want to master anything instantaneously. It's the journey that matters, not the destination.
What was your first favourite?
I do not remember. And my favourites folder is all out of order for some reason.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Fantasy; mostly digital, I would say.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Wow, um, I don't think I can pick. There's so much talent out there. Every Deviant I follow has created works I love and ones I'm not as keen on. I don't think I could choose any one as my ultimate favourite. Now, if you wanted my favourite artist EVER, that would be Vermeer, though Rembrandt is a close second.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I... have no idea. I've made a lot of friends here over the years. Many have come and gone, some are still my friends. I wish I could meet everyone I've impacted or been impacted by, just to say 'thank you.'
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Plenty of them. Anybody who has told me that they love my stories and can't wait to read more impacts me. They are the source of the momentum that drives me to keep writing, drawing, and sharing.
As for who has impacted me the most, that's defintely shivaesyke. She was the one who brought me into the world of webcomics. She gave me exposure by letting me work with her on my all-time favourite webcomic, Shivae! (one of her MANY graphic novels). She gave me my first tablet so that I could draw better on the computer (I had been using only a mouse for years) AND she gave me my first website to host my comics on. She's an awesome & kind person, and I definitely wouldn't be as dedicated to my comics as I am without her influence.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
Mechanical pencil, paper (pen sketch or smooth bristol), prismacolour pencils, super sculpey clay, acrylic paints, Manga Studio, Photoshop, wacom intuous 3 tablet, a keyboard, a word processor, and, well, my hands. Since those are needed to operate all of the above.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Any desk in a nice, quiet, preferrably secluded area.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
The day I got a Daily Deviation. I was walking on clouds for days! All thanks to PlaidRed for suggesting this piece!
